Progressive Women is an NGO dedicated to promoting awareness on social issues of gender equality, women’s rights (both in Ukraine and internationally), domestic violence and human trafficking.
Director Natalia Kozlova is a psychologist who gives the following seminars throughout Ukraine:
- to educate women about their economic, legal and social rights and how to create equality at work and at home
- to educate militia about how to identify and deal with domestic violence situations with sensitivity to victims’ needs
- to educate militia about how to identify situations involving human trafficking & knowing what to do, both legally and psychologically
- to provide realistic information about human trafficking in surrounding communities of Vinnytsia oblast in order to prevent it before it happens
- to sponsor community events to raise awareness abut all the issues mentioned above (such as presentation for International Women’s Day, film screening of "The Unknown", women’s self-defense class etc.)
Progressive Women also provides a telephone hotline to give immediate answers about human trafficking.
Progressive Women’s projects are supported by international organizations like IOM (International Organization of Migration), OSCE, La Strada and Amnesty International.
