Natalia Kozlova founded Progressive Women in 1995 with a group of other women. Since then, she has worked extensively on issues of human rights, feminist leadership, conflict resolution, domestic violence and the prevention of human trafficking — on projects both international and within Ukraine.
- In 1995, Natalia did research on the status of women’s rights for the Vinnytsia region and in 1999 did a study monitoring human rights for a foundation in Warsaw, Poland.
- In 2000, she monitored establishments of the Vinnytsia region for a project of the Ukrainian-American bureau of defense of human rights.
- In 2000, she began awareness training at militia schools (for TACIS jointly with USAID), a project executed through the support of Ukraine’s Ministry of the Internal affairs in the Vinnytsia, Zaporozhia, Lugansk, Kiev, and Donetsk regions.
- In 2002, she was part of a Ukrainian delegation as an observer of parliamentary elections in Sweden, met with local politicians & studied Swedish experience of the election process.
- In 2005, Natalia was part of a project, “Politician for All,” with the support of the program «Democracy Grants» through the US Embassy.
- In 2006, she was a participant in a conference for Amnesty International about domestic violence in Ukraine. In 2006, she was also a trainer for members of district selections committees: “Development Associates, Inc.” and conducted 24 educational seminars within the framework of a project “Assistance of organization of elections in Ukraine.”
- In 2007, she was the regional trainer for an anti-corruption project, “Deserving Ukraine,” for MSI.
Through Progressive Women, Natalia Kozlova has done many projects sponsored by a wide range of international organizations, including TACIS (legal consultations for women), Winrock International, the Eurasia Fund, USAID, OSCE, and Amnesty International. From 2002-present, Progressive Women has been a regional partner of the International Organization of Migration (IOM) dedicated to the prevention of human trafficking.
From 2004-present, Progressive Women manages a regional telephone hotline to answer questions about human trafficking.
Natalia Kozlova’s training in psychology and experience in small business management, has helped her collaboration in the following:

Natalia Kozlova has also been the author of articles in scientific publications from consulting models and practical psychology. In 1997, she wrote column about women’s rights in a regional newspaper "Tumba".
